Earthquake Fundraising

Immediately following the earthquake in February 2023, we reached out to all our students in the affected area, distributing $13,000 as emergency funds.

In April 2023, we allocated $15,759 to Darüşşafaka and $18,510 to Kadın Araştırmaları Derneği (KAD) to aid new students identified by our partner organizations.

At the outset of the 2023-24 school year, we expanded support, adding
60 students through KAD,
21 students through Anadolu Çağdaş Eğitim Vakfı (ANAÇEV),
103 students through Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD),
100 students through Gündoğdu Çağdaş Toplum Gönüllüleri Derneği (GÇTGD).

The total number of scholarships reached 284, with distributed funds totaling $100,765.

Beyond our earthquake scholarship program, we are piloting two after-school programs in collaboration with Gündoğdu Çağdaş Toplum Gönüllüleri Derneği in Defne and Iskenderun, the most affected areas. Despite challenges such as dire living conditions and limited resources, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing academic, social, and psychological support to the students.
